ROSCON DE REYES

The Feast of the Three Kings (El dia de los Reyes), celebrated on January 6th across Spain and Latin America, holds a special place in my heart. It's a day filled with magic, tradition, and the joy of sharing. As a child growing up in Madrid, I cherished the anticipation of receiving gifts and the delightful taste of Roscón de Reyes, a sweet bread hiding surprises.

My grandfather, an owner of toy shops in Bilbao’s busy commercial road Gran Via named Artablanc and Blancar (1945-1980) would witness the excitement of parents as they shopped for their children's gifts during this festive time. His passion for bringing joy to others inspired me.

Now, living in the UK, I've made it my mission to share this cherished tradition with my own children. Each Roscón de Reyes I bake is crafted with love and care, respecting the time-honoured recipes passed down through generations.

Fiki Food, named after my two boys, Filippo and Kimon, is a testament to the love and inspiration that fuels my baking. It's my way of spreading the warmth and magic of the Three Kings' Feast, one delicious Roscón at a time.
